Check water level. Over time your pool will lose water. Keeping water levels at the correct level is important to ensure your filter does not accidentally suck in air; this can damage your system.

Skim water surface. Pools that are left uncovered are sure to accumulate debris such as leaves, twigs, and bugs. Skimming the water’s surface on a weekly basis will keep this debris from clogging your strainers.

Vacuum pool. Some debris will sink to the bottom of the pool, making regular vacuuming necessary.

Brush walls, steps, benches, and tile line. This keeps mineral, chemical, and oil buildup from becoming an issue.

Check and empty strainers and baskets. Debris will start to accumulate in the strainers and baskets, it is important to empty them regularly.

Check and empty cleaner bags. Cleaner bags will also need to be emptied regularly as they will accumulate debris.

Backwash filter. It is recommended that you backwash your filters about once a week.
